Tewksbury is situated in the rolling hills of Hunterdon County punctuated with horse farms, fruit tree orchards, livestock farms and great estates with spectacular vistas. The township offers four small sections or villages that resemble a Norman Rockwell painting. The quaint downtown area is situated within Oldwick and offers great shops and landmarks such as The Tewksbury Inn and the Oldwick General Store. There are many hiking and horse trails entwined through the villages that comprise Tewksbury; one account even suggests there are nearly 100 miles of trails maintained.
The educational system in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth grade are governed and administered locally, by the Tewksbury Board of Education. High school students combine into the North Hunterdon Voorhees Regional High School District in Lebanon Township. Interstate 78 runs easterly and westerly and provides access to Newark International Airport and NYC, as well as Allentown and areas of interest in Pennsylvania.
